Dr. Kamanga is currently a Head of Department for the midwifery section, a Senior Lecturer and a researcher for the Kamuzu College of Nursing, part of the University of Malawi.  She is a registered nurse /midwife with the Nurses and Midwives Council of Malawi. She received her PhD in Nursing from the University of Illinois, Chicago and her Masters in Sexual and Reproductive Health from the University of London, LSHTM.  Dr. Kamanga is very experienced in generating evidence for STI/HIV, adolescent, maternal and neonatal health.  She is a co-investigator on the APPHC study titled, Implementation research on a provider behavior change approach to overcome Socio-normative drivers that impact on the quality of PPH care in Malawi.
