Biography

Sunny Lin is a graduate of the Global Health Sciences program at UCSF. She received her undergraduate degree in Public Health from UCSD. Currently, she serves as a research policy analyst at the Institute of Global Health Science at UCSF, leading the landscaping activity of approaches and terminologies related to Respectful Maternity Care (RMC) in Africa. Passionate about RMC, she started her journey as a researcher working on a monitoring and evaluation project at a birth house in Luweero, Uganda. She has also completed a systematic review of interventions targeting facility-based RMC in Africa during her time in graduate school. Interested in exploring different ways to contribute to human rights and reproductive health, Sunny works to bridge the gap between research and the implementation of appropriate and effective evidence-based approaches to enhance the quality of antenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care in resource-limited settings and underserved populations.
