Sangath (www.sangath.in) is a research NGO founded in 1996. It is headquartered in Goa, India, with Hubs in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh (established in 2011) and New Delhi (established in 2013). Sangath's mission and expertise lie in developing and evaluating mental health interventions to be delivered through existing public health systems. Sangath has completed some of the largest population-based cohort studies and randomized controlled trials for mental disorders in the world. It has established human and infrastructure resources for carrying out large and complex research studies, resulting from sustained capacity building through a series of grants funded by the Wellcome Trust, NIMH and other funders.
