Hilary Spindler
Hilary is a lead academic researcher at UCSF's Institute for Global Health Sciences focused on maternal newborn, and child health and HIV/AIDS prevention. She has designed and led dozens of technical training workshops and studies throughout PEPFAR countries including Kenya, Tanzania, Mozambique, Namibia, Botswana, Rwanda, Malawi, Cote d'Ivoire, Russia, Ukraine, Thailand, India, Antigua and others. Hilary has also worked on various Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation funded activities in collaboration with PRONTO International focusing on improving quality of obstetric and neonatal care through mentoring and simulation training.
In 2015, Hilary became a founding member of the Informatics Hub @ UCSF Global Health Sciences. Hilary's expertise is using various statistical platforms to translate large, disparate sets of data for in-country decision making purposes. Key strategies include data triangulation, data visualization and other dynamic modeling techniques.
