Liliane M. Ingabire is a Senior Advisor, Continuum of Care Services at Access Program in Madagascar. She worked as Technical Midwife Advisor with the International Confederation of Midwives in the Netherlands and in various clinical positions in Rwanda. She has experience in project management mainly in strengthening midwifery education in French speaking countries in Africa project, in midwifery education, clinical and in administration after receiving her MSc degree in Advanced Midwifery, Maternal and Child Nursing from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.

She devoted much of her time in teaching midwifery, pediatrics and neonatology subjects both in clinical and classrooms in Rwanda and internationally as full time and part time Lecturer. This experience gave her a picture for how a good education can improve the life of mothers and newborns as well as the entire family in our country and in the region.
