Anthony Wanyoro is the chairman and a senior lecturer in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Kenyatta University. Dr. Wanyoro will serve as the Transdisciplinary Teams Co-Advisor paired with Dr. Walker.  Drs Walker and Wanyoro are long-time collaborators.  Dr. Wanyoro served as a co-investigator in the UCSF-led Preterm Birth Initiative East Africa.  Dr. Walker serves as the Principal Investigator of the $27million award from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.  Drs Walker and Wanyoro are also collaborators on the Virtual Mentor project that is currently being tested in Kenya.  Dr. Wanyoro is passionate about the reduction of preventable maternal and neonatal mortality and morbidity in Africa and has extensive experience as an obstetrician gynecologist, having worked in resource-constrained environments for more than 15 years.
